Man charged with trio of High Street burglary offences

A 50-year-old Lowestoft man has ben charged with a trio of burglary offences in the town.

Franklyn Mathurin, of Kirkley Cliff Road, was charged in connection with two home burglaries and the attempted burglary of a business.

All three incidents occurred on Tuesday, July 31, on High Street.

Mathurin was arrested by detectives investigating the crimes on Thursday, August 2, and subsequently charged.

He made a first appearance at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Friday 3 August where he was remanded into custody pending a next hearing before magistrates on Monday, August 6, at which he was committed to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on Monday, September 3.
