Archant

There were smiles a-plenty on the faces of young patients after the welcome delivery of a bumper load of Easter eggs.

More than a week ahead of schedule, the Easter Bunny himself made an early appearance at the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston on Friday, March 23.

Accompanied by members of staff from Lowestoft-based Paul Hubbard Estate Agents, he visited both the children’s ward and the A and E department on his chocolate rounds.

During the rest of the week, there were further Easter egg donations made by Halifax bank, the Morrisons store in Pakefield, Potters Leisure Resort and David Friend.

To add to the Easter cheer, a scooter cavalcade consisting of 30 members from the East Coast Scooter Club delivered dozens of chocolates eggs to the hospital.

Some of them were used as prizes in a fundraising raffle, while others were distributed across the hospital, including in the children’s ward.
