Employees who give that little bit extra at a Lowestoft holiday firm are to get the credit they deserve thanks to a new initiative aimed at recognising and rewarding the efforts of team members across the business.

The Go One Better scheme has been introduced by Hoseasons at its Raglan Road head office to celebrate employees who make an extra effort for their colleagues or customers.

Those judged to have demonstrated outstanding effort across one of eight categories, including 'giving one more minute', 'sharing what works', 'being inclusive' and 'offering kind words', will receive a certificate and possibly a prize at an end of year awards ceremony.

Matt Smith, head of HR at Hoseasons, said: 'Appreciation of our colleagues has always been an important part of the strong, supportive culture at Hoseasons, but Go One Better allows us to recognise and reward the efforts of employees in a more structured way. We want people to be proud of the time they spend at work and this is our way of saying thank you to those who give that little bit extra.'

Go One Better is an employee-led initiative and 10 Go One Better Champion roles have been created made up of employee volunteers to liaise with and nominate deserving colleagues.
