Cyclist smashed car windscreen and stole laptop bag

A cyclist was chased by a member of the public after being seen breaking into a car in Lowestoft.

Suffolk Police have appealed for witnesses after an incident on Harold Road, near Carlton Road, on Monday February 18.

The cyclist, who was dressed all in black and had their face covered, was seen riding towards the Fiat 500 and smashed the front windows.

They then removed a laptop bag and its contents, before being chased by a member of the public who witnessed the theft, but lost sight of the cyclist heading in the direction of Lorne Road.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or knows the identity of the cyclist, is urged to contact the Lowestoft Neighbourhood Response Team on 101, quoting crime reference 9800/19.
