The April 5 meeting was a combined evening of a competition and the ladies' evening. Peter Evans with The Falkirk Wheel and Brian Pink with Tromso Tourists took part in the competition with Brian being chosen the winner.

The April 5 meeting was a combined evening of a competition and the ladies' evening. Peter Evans with The Falkirk Wheel and Brian Pink with Tromso Tourists took part in the competition with Brian being chosen the winner. Hot cross buns were served by Sheila Buckenham and Marion Whitewood. The raffle also took place during the interval run by Gordon Mitchell, and David and Frances Bucknole. Sheila Buckenham showed a series of films chosen by the ladies: Whoops, a short comedy by the workshop, followed by Henry's Last Wish, Ashes To Ashes, Family Friends, Time Watch and Crumbs by the John Street film unit, Wrong Way Up, an animated production brought in by Jim Buckenham, Burgh Castle by Jeff Riches, Moods by Jim, Amarillo by the workshop, Creature Comforts, Christmas and an early club production, Bad Manners.
