Fundraisers from the Lowestoft-based Lauren Lou appeal, which continues to raise money and awareness in aid of cancer charities and worthy local causes, have been boosted by a recent collection.
On Tuesday, March 6 a collection for breast cancer care was held in Lowestoft – with a record amount raised in just four hours of collecting.
Gary Bennett, of Team Lauren Lou, said: 'The grand total raised was £520.15 in only four hours of collecting – this was the biggest ever amount raised during a breast cancer care collection in Lowestoft that I have done in six years.
'So a massive thank you to my volunteers Sarah Jane Hodaj, Alison Jane Doherty, Georgie Somers, Leigh Player, Charlene Player, Barry Sprattling and Trevor Layton – you're all stars today and always!
'A massive thank you to the very kind donating public who always shock me with their generosity.'
