The north Suffolk college was chosen as the KTT champion for the eastern region, with the project focusing on engineering, applied science, and technology (STEM) subject areas.
As a champion, Lowestoft College will have to show the benefits of Knowledge and Technology Transfer and business innovation in energy skills and look at how the curriculum can be improved and take into account these new and emerging technologies.
A total of 8,000 has been set aside to run the project at Lowestoft, consisting of a grant from the New Engineering Foundation and the Learning and Skills Improvement Service as well as investment from the college.
