Lowestoft distraction burglary appeal

Police are appealing for information after a distraction burglary in Lowestoft yesterday afternoon.

Someone knocked at the door of a flat belonging to an 80-year-old lady in St Peter's Court, Chapel Street, between 2.30pm and 3.30pm and walked into the property.

Someone knocked at the door of a flat belonging to an 80-year-old lady in St Peter's Court, Chapel Street, between 2.30pm and 3.30pm and then walked into the property.

The man asked for a piece of paper to write a note. He left but returned a few minutes later and the woman then saw a second male coming out of a bedroom in the flat.

Both men then left and the woman discovered that someone had moved some of her property, although nothing appears to have been

stolen.

The first man is described as white, about 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build, aged in his late teens to 20s and wearing dark clothing. The second man was of Asian appearance, of similar height and age to the first man, and was wearing a green stripey top.
