The chairman welcomed everyone to the annual meeting and apologies from those unable to attend were read out. The minutes of the last annual meeting were read and approved. The secretary, chairman and treasurer read out their reports for the previous year, which had been very successful with many varied and interesting speakers, dances and social gatherings both within our own club and other clubs. The officers and committee all stood down with the exception of the treasurer, Pauline Crowther who was starting the second year of office. The chairman Beryl Rooke was re-elected also the secretary Sheila Little. Committee members elected were: Len Allen, Marcella Bird, Pam and Sid Wilby, Carol Sprought, and Bob White. Various ideas for the coming years programme were discussed. The chairman reminded everyone about the Broadland Federation annual show to take place at Upton Village Hall on Saturday, April 25. The large annual raffle then took place with 70 prizes, tickets having been purchased throughout the year; thanks were conveyed to Pam and Sid Wilby for organising the raffle. Chairman's Cup competition results for wine made from cartons of grape juice: Len Allen won the cups for both the dry and sweet classes.
