Hundreds of people descended on a seaside town to take part in the UK’s most easterly running event.
The Lowestoft Half Marathon, organised by Nicholsons Solicitors, returned for its third year on Sunday, October 7.
More than 400 runners entered this year’s 13.1 mile race, which sees competitors travel along the town’s sea front.
Organiser Becky Lawler said: “The day has gone really well, all of the top three runners have got personal bests.
“The atmosphere has been incredible – the sea wall is full of spectators cheering people on.”
Of the 404 who participated on the day it was Matt Jeffries who crossed the finish line first – with a personal best of one hour 11 minutes.
The event helps raise funds for Break Charity, an organisation which works to improve the lives of vulnerable children and young people across East Anglia.
Ms Lawler added: “They are incredible and do a lot of work around the town.”
