A 61-YEAR-OLD Lowestoft man has been banned from driving for 18 months. Brian Walsh, of Royal Avenue, pleaded guilty to drink driving when he appeared at Lowestoft magistrates court yesterday.

A 61-YEAR-OLD Lowestoft man has been banned from driving for 18 months.

Brian Walsh, of Royal Avenue, pleaded guilty to drink driving when he appeared at Lowestoft magistrates court yesterday. The court heard on Tuesday (April 14) that he was stopped by a police officer on Harris Avenue on April 8 and when tested, he gave a reading of 72 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath - more than twice the legal limit of 35 microgrammes. Walsh was also ordered to pay �288 in fines and costs.
