Lowestoft man named after fatal crash

THE 61-year-old man who died following a collision in Lowestoft has today been named by police.

John James Newberry, from Lowestoft, died yesterday afternoon at the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston following a motorcycle crash yesterday morning in Rotterdam Road.

John James Newberry, from Lowestoft, died yesterday afternoon at the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston following a motorcycle crash yesterday morning in Rotterdam Road.

Mr Newberry died following the collision between the Kawasaki motorcycle he was riding and a black Ford Focus around 10.45am yesterday.

Officers are renewing appeals for any witnesses to the crash to call the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01473 613500.
