Commuters travelling between Lowestoft and Norwich were facing delays this afternoon due to fallen trees blocking the line.

Trees blocked the railway at Oulton Broad North, causing multiple cancellations, but Network Rail were quickly on site to cut down and remove the obstruction.

As of 3.28pm, all lines have been reopened and trains are now able to run between Norwich and Lowestoft.

Greater Anglia tweeted at 4.32pm to say the earlier disruption cause by the blockage has now ended.

Once the tree was cleared, the first train running from Norwich to Lowestoft was the 3.50pm service, whilst the first train from Lowestoft to Norwich will be the 4.48pm service.
