Lowestoft pantomime star gives tribute to his Coronation Street on-screen dad Bill Tarmey who died last week

ACTOR Nigel Pivaro who plays the lead in Lowestoft pantomime Aladdin this December has paid tribute to Coronation Street star Bill Tarmey who's death at the age of 71 was announced last Friday.

Mr Pivaro, who played Jack Duckworth’s son Terry in the ITV soap, has said he is “devastated” to hear of Bill Tarmey’s death.
He said: “He played huge part of both my professional and personal life.
“He was a very wise and dignified man who taught me a great deal and whose counsel I came to value greatly.
“The world will be a little poorer without Bill to lighten it up with his warm humour.”
Pivaro is set to appear as Abanazar at the Marina Theatre from December 18.
