THE award-winning Lowestoft Players have done it again.
The players added to their growing list of accolades at the Eastern Area conference of the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA), held near Colchester, where they walked away with four major prizes.
Their 2009 pantomime Beauty and the Beast was adjudged the region's Best Pantomime and their 2009 musical Chess won three separate awards: Best Musical, Best Overall Production and Best Programme Design.
Stephen Wilson and Deanne Dickson, the directors of both of the shows, were there to collect the awards.
Stephen said: 'Chess and Beauty and the Beast both received critical acclaim from our audiences and the local press. These four awards are the absolute icing on the cake.'
The Players are currently rehearsing for their latest musical, Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific, at the Marina Theatre. Performances run from Tuesday, May 18 to Saturday, May 22. Tickets are available from the theatre box office on 01502 533200.
