After receiving great reviews and performing to mainly full houses, the curtain has now gone down on the Lowestoft Players most recent musical.

And delighted with the success of the Made in Dagenham production, which was performed at the Players Theatre, a spokesman for The Players said: 'We would like to thank the continued support of the local community, who time after time visit this wonderful performance space.'

The Lowestoft Players have lots of exciting shows planned and back by popular demand, running between December 7 and December 16, is a Christmas Spectacular at the Players Theatre.

The spokesman added: 'On Sunday, October 7 there is your chance to appear on stage with The Lowestoft Players with our open auditions for the family Pantomime Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood.'

There is a 9.30am registration ahead of a 10am audition workshop for all and 1pm principal auditions this Sunday.

Auditions for children and the junior company take place on October 12 with a 6pm registration and an audition workshop running from 6.30pm to 8pm.

From January 19 to January 27 the spectacular family pantomime Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood will be performed at the Marina Theatre.

Further Lowestoft Players productions next year include the musical masterpiece Evita at the Players Theatre from May 31 to June 8 and flying into Lowestoft's Marina Theatre from September 24 to September 29 next year, the Lowestoft Players will proudly present. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
