The recent annual garden party of the Lowestoft (Men's) Probus Club was held at the Parkhill Hotel. There were a number of talent provoking tests of skill, a croquet challenge, tombola, raffle, cakes and produce stall as well as guess the weight of the cake challenge and musical entertainment by Geoff Harding, together with refreshments, provided by the local Scout Fellowship.

New this year was a surprise cabaret supplied by Kenny Cantor which took everyone back to the 'good old days' of the music hall and Kenny's personal memories of The Crazy Gang.
This year's beneficiary was the Palliative Care Unit and their representative Jenny Westgate received a cheque of the proceeds from George Nutburn, the club president.
