Lowestoft pub targeted once more

POLICE have a renewed an appeal for information into two fires at a Lowestoft pub and hotel.

The Sun Rise Inn in Corton Road, which remains boarded up, was burgled at the time of the first blaze on October 31, which is thought to have been caused by an electrical fault. A week later, on November 5, there was a second fire, which left the property badly damaged.

Its cause is being treated as suspicious.

This week it emerged that police were now investigating a further burglary at the property, when two pictures were stolen between 12.30pm on Tuesday, December 14 and noon on Wednesday, December 15.
