A major route into Lowestoft was closed by police this morning following a roof fire.
The alarm was raised by police officers who spotted smoke coming from a roof of a property in London Road South shortly after 10.30am.
Police have closed the road near the junction of Carlton Road while fire crews attend the scene.
A police spokesman said it is believed that no one is inside the building but further checks were being made.
