The monthly meeting of the Lowestoft branch was held on Monday, with 30 members present. Booking is now closed for the lunch and boat trip on June 25. The tour is from Friday, September 18 to Monday, September 21. Cost is �242, which includes coach travel, bed, breakfast and dinner, with two full-day tours.
The meeting was given details of the programme of events for Armed Forces Day on June 27. There will be a flag-raising ceremony at 10.30am on June 22 at the war memorial on Royal Plain, when a specially designed flag will be flown for the duration of the week.
Next year's RA lunch will be on Saturday, April 17, at the Masonic Hall. The RA Benevolent Fund collection in Lowestoft Town centre will be on August 15. The next meeting will be on Monday, July 6 at 11am at the BT Club in Clapham Road, Lowestoft. All serving and ex-gunners welcome.
