More than 50 brave teddies took the plunge as they flew down a zip-wire at the return of a popular Lowestoft fundraising event.
No teddy bears were injured at St Margaret’s Church fete, on Saturday, July 1, as £750 was raised in aid of church funds.
Money raised is helping the town’s parish church in their fundraising efforts to replace the windows on the south side of the building along with upgrading the current heating system.
Rev Michael Asquith said: “The weather was great, which always makes a big difference.
“We didn’t seem to have as many people as we have had previously but it gave us the opportunity to talk and interact with visitors more closely.”
He gave special thanks to the 4th Lowestoft Scouts for providing the zip wire for the teddies to descend.
He added: “It was great to see so many people at St Margaret’s having fun and enjoying themselves.”
