ELM Tree Primary School, in Lowestoft, closed early today as regular checks found contamination in the water system. A spokesman for Suffolk County Council said it would be potentially unsafe for children to continue to use the water there, so parents were asked to collect their children as soon as possibleThe water system was due to be flushed through and cleaned and it was expected that the school in Ranworth Avenue would be fully open and functioning as normal yesterday.
