Christine White, Colin Clarke and June Christie were winners in both rounds of games last week, when June recorded the highest word-score of 93 for “muffing.” Also appearing on the bonus list were “hotties,” “oariest,” “stratas” and “leggier.” There was a marked international flavour among the challenged words, where “chez,” “lek,” “brio” and “anima” along with the old English “clept” and the dialect “clag,” all proved acceptable. Phone Geoff (511223) for details of the club.
