Barbara Badger and Geoff Smith were the only winners in both rounds of games last week when Barbara also recorded the highest word-score of 96 for “shaking.” The surprise among the bonus words was “unlines,” with “hairier,” “airiest” and “urinals” also played. A larger than usual crop of challenge survivors included “exed” and the variant spellings “howe,” “nout,” “yuk” and “veldt.” Call 01502 511223 for details of the club.
