Lowestoft terror suspect's trial under way
A terror suspect who was arrested at Lowestoft railway station will face trial at the Old Bailey today.Neil Lewington, of Tilehurst, Reading, was arrested on October 30 last year after police allegedly found him with two improvised explosive devices when he was searched at Lowestoft railway station.

Neil Lewington, of Tilehurst, Reading, was arrested on October 30 last year after police allegedly found him with two improvised explosive devices when he was searched at Lowestoft railway station.
He was charged with offences under the Terrorism Act and one under the Explosives Act.
One charge alleges that Lewington, 43, travelled from Reading to Lowetsoft with two explosive devices. Other charges include preparing acts of terrorism having an explosive substance with intent to endanger life having a Waffen SS UK member's handbook and a book called Counter Bomb for terrorism.

Lewington has not yet entered pleas to any of the eight charges. The trial, which starts today, is expected to last for up to three weeks.
