Cash-strapped Lowestoft Town are set to hold a meeting where fans can hear more about the club's financial situation.

The gathering at the Amber Dew Events Stadium will take place this Thursday, March 22, two and a half weeks after the extent of the Trawlerboys' money problems was revealed.

Supporters have since been urged by manager Dale Brooks and community leaders to turn out for the final five home games of the season, but the first of those matches was postponed on Tuesday due to a waterlogged pitch.

In the meantime, a GoFundMe page has been launched with the aim of raising £50,000, and now fans have been invited to discover how the Blues are looking to stave off the threat of financial ruin.

A statement read: 'The club can confirm we will be holding a supporters meeting next Thursday 22nd March starting at 7.30pm. Doors and bar will be open at 7pm.

'This will give the club a chance to relay further information about our current position and our plans for the future. See you Thursday.'
