Lowestoft without mayor

LOWESTOFT will be without a mayor for several weeks after Sally Spore stepped down because of her decision to resign as a councillor.

The office of mayor is granted to a member of the Lowestoft Charter Trustees, a group consisting of Waveney District councillors in Lowestoft wards.

LOWESTOFT will be without a mayor for several weeks after Sally Spore stepped down because of her decision to resign as a councillor.

The office of mayor is granted to a member of the Lowestoft Charter Trustees, a group consisting of Waveney District councillors in Lowestoft wards.

Therefore, following her decision to stand down as a councillor, Mrs Spore must also relinquish her mayoral title.

A new mayor will be appointed next month.
