The majority of schools across Waveney have closed on Thursday following fresh weather warnings across the country.

With further snow forecast to hit Suffolk throughout today, all schools in the district have closed as journeys have been affected with conditions too dangerous, although some children's centres remain open.

The Met Office last night put in place a yellow warning for snow for the region, from 00.05am this morning until 11.55pm tonight. Warnings are also in place for Friday and Saturday.
