A 21-year-old man has died after being stabbed in Great Yarmouth.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the crime.

Police were called to Stanley Terrace at 7.45pm last night (Sunday), where a man was found in the street with serious injuries.

The 21-year-old man was taken to the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston but died a short while later.

A man and woman were arrested at the scene in connection with the incident and remain in police custody at this time.

Detective Chief Inspector Jes Fry of Norfolk police said: 'We are in the early stages of this investigation, but it appears that all the people involved in this issue were known to each other.

'The scene will remain sealed whilst we continue to carry out a forensic investigation. I would ask that anyone who has any information about the offence to contact the police.'
