A 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy have appeared before magistrates in Norwich in connection with a burglary in a Suffolk village.

Jack Morgan, 21, and a 17-year-old boy from the Bedford area who cannot be named for legal reasons, were charged for multiple offences in connection to the incident at the Kessingland Co-op on Monday.

Police had been called to a burglary in progress at the Co-op in Field Lane at 2.40am on Monday morning, before the two suspects were arrested near Romany Lane.

Morgan, of Common Road, Potton, in Bedfordshire, was charged with three offences including burglary other building, theft of a motor vehicle, and attempted theft of a motor vehicle and has been remanded in custody to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on October 9.

The 17-year-old boy, also from the Bedford area, was charged with five offences including burglary other building, theft of a motor vehicle, attempted theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, and failing to stop for police.
