Pair face trial after denying drug offences

The trial of a man and a woman from Lowestoft, who have denied being concerned in the supply of heroin, will take place in August.

Dominique Luxford, 29, and Nick Platten, 48, both of High Street, Lowestoft, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on Thursday, March 28.

They pleaded not guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin between July 24, 2018 and February 28, 2019.

Luxford also pleaded not guilty to possessing methadone with intent to supply on February 27, 2019 and possessing cannabis with intent to supply on the same date.

Their arrests followed a proactive police operation on Wednesday, February 27, by the East Scorpion team.

Luxford and Platten’s trial is expected to take place on August 5.
