A man has been arrested after he was spotted allegedly breaking into a vehicle on a busy street.

The man was arrested on Sunday, April 7 as police officers were on patrol on St Peters Street in Lowestoft.

In a post on the Lowestoft Police Facebook page, they said: “While on patrol in the early hours of Sunday morning, a man was found breaking into a vehicle in the early hours of Sunday morning on St Peters Street, Lowestoft.

“He has been arrested and enquiries continue to see if there is any link between this and other vehicle break ins across the north of Lowestoft.

“Remember to #lockyourvehicle and #removeyourvaluables.”
