The 34-year-old suspect was arrested in the town's Sparrows Nest gardens yesterday (Wednesday) evening and was taken into custody at Lowestoft police station.

A police spokesman said he was also arrested for possession of a “bladed instrument.”

He will be interviewed this morning about robberies at Joe's Newsagent, in Pier Terrace, on Sunday, at the Britten Centre car park on Monday and Lowestoft railway station on Tuesday.
