A 50-year-old man needed hospital treatment after he was assaulted in south Lowestoft.
The man suffered grazes, swelling and bruising after he was assaulted in Birds Lane, Kirkley about 12.20pm on Thursday (May 30).
A police spokesman said: 'He was taken to the James Paget University Hospital (in Gorleston) for checks as it was initially thought he may have a fractured eye socket but he was discharged soon afterwards as there was no fracture.'
Police confirmed that they are seeking a named suspect in connection with the incident.
