Man assaulted in Lowestoft High Street

Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident in Lowestoft High Street around 4pm on Monday, August 3, in which a 52-year-old man sustained a cut to his head.

Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident in Lowestoft High Street around 4pm on Monday, August 3, in which a 52-year-old man sustained a cut to his head.

The incident was reported by a woman who heard something and turned to see the 52-year-old man on the ground. A man who was with the 52-year-old - described as having dark hair, wearing a hat and carrying a bag - asked her to call an ambulance. Police need to trace this man and anyone else who was in the area at the time who saw the incident. Anyone with information is asked to telephone 01986 835300.
