Man attacked in front of his child as trouble flares in Lowestoft

A 22-year-old man was assaulted as he walked along a Lowestoft street with his former partner and their child.

Police are seeking witnesses after the man was assaulted in Belvedere Road around 12.20pm yesterday (Monday, March 28). The man was walking along the road when two men got out of a car – believed to be a blue Fiat Punto or similar - and approached him. They confirmed his name and then one of the men struck him. The 22-year-old was uninjured.

Police need to speak to anyone who saw the incident or anyone with information about the men involved.
