A MAN arrested after an armed police operation in Lowestoft has had his bail period extended. Suffolk police said the 37-year-old was arrested on Saturday, January 22, after someone reported being threatened with what looked like a gun. Armed officers later stopped a vehicle in Normanston Drive and a man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
After answering bail last week, he was rebailed until March 14. A woman arrested with him faces no further action.
