A 33-year-old man is due to appear at court tomorrow morning (Tuesday, October 1), charged with failing to provide a sample of breath, using a motor vehicle in a condition likely to cause a danger and two counts of assaulting a police officer following an incident in the Gorleston Road area of Oulton Broad on Thursday, September 12.
Roger Davis, of Cleveland Road in Kirkley, was arrested in the early hours of September 12 after police received a call about a suspected drink driver followed by another call reporting an altercation between the two occupants of a vehicle.
He was taken into custody where he was interviewed by officers before being charged with failing to provide a breath test when required, assaulting two police officers and with using a Peugeot 306 with a non-existent nearside tyre, likely to cause a danger to anyone in the vehicle or on the road at the time.
He is now due to appear at Lowestoft Magistrates Court from 10am tomorrow.
