Man charged with GBH after woman’s shoulder dislocated on New Year’s Day

A 53-year-old man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm after an incident in Lowestoft on New Year’s Day.
Suffolk Police were called around 2.30am in the early hours of January 1 to reports that a woman had been assaulted at a property on London Road South in the town.

The victim sustained a broken nose, a possible fractured cheek bone, dislocated shoulder and facial injuries which required hospital treatment.
Shaun Davey of London Road South was arrested at the scene and subsequently charged with malicious wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
Mr Davey appeared before Norwich Magistrates Court on January 2 and has been remanded into custody to appear before Ipswich Crown Court on January 30.
