Man arrested on suspicion of affray following armed response

A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of affray following an early morning incident in Lowestoft.
Witnesses described seeing a large police presence in a number of streets across the town on Wednesday, February 26.
It comes after trouble flared in an incident between two men - who are believed to be known to each other - in Northgate, Lowestoft.
One of the men was understood to have been in possession of a weapon.
Armed police officers from the Norfolk and Suffolk Roads and Armed Policing Team (NSRAPT) and the police dog unit supported Lowestoft police officers, with four police cars situated nearby on Hollingsworth Road at around 11am.
Police had earlier been seen on Northgate in Lowestoft, on High Beech and Rose Court as searches were carried out.
The scene was clear by 12.30pm.
A police spokesman said: "Police, including firearms officers, were called to an incident around 9am in Northgate, Lowestoft.
"It was in response to an incident involving two men, who are believed to be known to each other.
"One man was believed to be in possession of a weapon.
"No injuries were suffered.
"One man has been arrested on suspicion of affray and he was taken to the Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains."
