Man in 40s charged with burglary and assault offences

A man has been charged in connection with a number of offences, including burglary and assault, reported in Lowestoft.
On Friday April 3, Suffolk Police received reports of a burglary on Long Road in the town.

A short while later, officers from the Lowestoft Neighbourhood Response team arrested a man in his 40s from the Lowestoft area.
He was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning by detectives.
44-year-old Anthony McLeod, of Victoria Terrace in Lowestoft, has been charged with two counts of burglary, one count of assault, two counts of criminal damage and one count of vehicle interference.
He appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court today, Monday 6 April, and has been remanded into custody to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday 5 May.
