Man in his 40s taken to hospital after collapsing in Lowestoft

A man has been taken to hospital for further treatment after he collapsed in north Lowestoft.

The ambulance service was called at 4.50pm on Tuesday (February, 16) to Church Road – close to the former Harris Middle School.

Two rapid response vehicles and an ambulance crew attended.

Police were also called to scene and the road was blocked for a short time.

A spokesman for the ambulance service described how paramedics “treated the man who was unconscious, but breathing and was taken to James Paget University Hospital for further treatment.”

The road was clear by 5.45pm.
