AN 11-YEAR-OLD boy was kicked in the wrist by a man close to a Lowestoft supermarket.

Police need to trace the man following the common assault at the Rainbow store at Ashburnham Way about 2pm on Saturday (November 13).

“Officers received a call from an 11-year-old boy who reported he had been assaulted at the premises,” a police spokesman said. “He said he had been play fighting with his brother and a friend when the man approached them to split them up, but he fell to the ground and was kicked in the wrist by the man, who then walked away.”

The man police are keen to speak to is white, with grey/white hair, of average build and was wearing grey/blue jeans and a grey T-shirt.

Police have spoken to the boys about their behaviour but need to trace the man and also need to speak to two customers who are believed to have seen the incident.
