LOWESTOFT'S lifeboat crew and a coastguard team rescued a man who apparently fell off the town's South Pier yesterday (Tuesday) morning.The man, believed to be in his mid 60s, landed on rocks, suffering head injuries and a compound fracture of his ankle.
LOWESTOFT'S lifeboat crew and a coastguard team rescued a man who apparently fell off the town's South Pier yesterday (Tuesday) morning.
The man, believed to be in his mid 60s, landed on rocks, suffering head injuries and a compound fracture of his ankle.
Lifeboat crew members were called out to help at about 8.15am and were able to climb down to the victim.
He was later taken by ambulance to the James Paget University Hospital, in Gorleston.
