Man robbed in Lowestoft park

A 37-YEAR-OLD man was robbed of cash and a pouch of tobacco as he walked through a Lowestoft park.

The robbery happened in the upper part of Sparrows Nest Gardens, which runs alongside Yarmouth Road, Lowestoft, yesterday (Monday, December 28).

The robbery happened in the upper part of Sparrows Nest Gardens, which runs alongside Yarmouth Road, Lowestoft, yesterday (Monday, December 28).

The 37-year-old was approached as he walked through the park about 6.30pm to 6.45pm, and then threatened by the robber who demanded he hand over items. Cash and the tobacco were handed over.

“Police are asking anyone who was in the area around this time to come forward regardless of whether you think you saw anything of use,” a police spokesman said.
