A 20-YEAR-OLD man was pushed to the ground and had his wallet stolen by two robbers after being set upon in an alleyway near Denes High School in Lowestoft.

The victim had walked along Somerton Avenue and into Mount Pleasant and was making his way down the alleyway towards Ashley Downs at about 1.10pm last Friday when he was pushed over by two men. They pinned him to the ground and one stole his wallet from his jeans before both ran off. The wallet was discarded by the offenders after they had taken cash from it.

The offenders were both tall – possibly about 6ft 3ins – and of large build, and both were wearing dark hooded tops, with scarves partially covering their faces. One was in dark blue jeans, and the other was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms with white stripes up the leg.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area around this time, regardless of whether you think you saw anything of use, or anyone who saw two men matching this description in the area around Friday lunchtime. If you can help, call Det Con 948 Rogers at Lowestoft CID on 01986 835300.
