A man put a duster over a seven-year-old girl's head to cover her eyes while he sexually abused her, it has been alleged.

Maxwell Goldwyn, 51, from Lowestoft, initially showed the girl pictures of naked people on his computer and indecently exposed himself to her, Ipswich Crown Court was told yesterday.

Goldwyn then put a duster over her head to cover her eyes while getting her to perform a sex act on him, said Matthew McNiff, prosecuting.

Afterwards Goldwyn allegedly gave the girl some sweets.

Mr McNiff said on one occasion Goldwyn had allegedly asked the girl to sit on his lap while the lower part of his body was exposed.

Goldwyn, of Dukes Head Street, has denied three offences of indecently assaulting the girl and three offences of indecency with a child.

The court heard that the offences came to light after the girl made allegations about Goldwyn to family and friends, and the police were contacted.

After his arrest, Goldwyn denied the allegations and also denied showing the girl porn on his computer.

The trial continues.
