POLICE are seeking witnesses after a 21-year-old man was sexually assaulted in Corton Woods.
The 21-year-old had been cycling in the wooded area and was having a rest near the beach at about 4pm yesterday (Monday) when he was approached by a man who tried to engage him in conversation.
The man then moved closer and grabbed the 21-year-old, sexually assaulting him before making off in the direction of Corton Road.
Detectives are keen to trace a man who is described as of Asian appearance, in his mid 40s to mid 50s, of slim build with dark grey hair and wearing a long black coat, dark blue jeans and smart red shoes.
'If you saw the man in this area yesterday afternoon, police would like to hear from you and anyone with information about who he is should telephone DC Stevens at Lowestoft CID on 01986 835300,' a police spokesman said.
