A man was taken to hospital for abdominal pains after feeling ill on a boat in Lake Lothing, Lowestoft.
The man, in his 60s, was stretchered out of the boat by Lowestoft and Southwold Coastguard at around 1.15am this morning.
A spokesman for the coastguard said: 'The Lowestoft Coastguard Rescue Team were paged to assist the East of England Ambulance Service with the extraction of a casualty from a private vessel moored on Lake Lothing.
'Using the basket stretcher the team assisted the ambulance crew in extracting the casualty from inside the cabin of the vessel and onto the pontoon. The casualty was then transported to hospital.'
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: 'We received a call at 11.54pm to reports of a man in 60s with reports of abdomen pains.
'The East of England Ambulance Service Trust dispatched an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle to South Elmham Terrace, Lowestoft where working in conjunction with the Coastguard they extracted the man from his boat and was taken to James Paget hospital for further care.'
