FIREFIGHTERS from Lowestoft spent more than 20 minutes freeing an 'elderly man' from his car, after the vehicle careered into a wall in Lowestoft.
Two crews from Lowestoft South and North Lowestoft fire stations joined the enhanced rescue tender pump following the 'road traffic collision' in Bridge Road at 3pm today (Wednesday).
A Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said that a 'private motor vehicle collided into a wall,' in the street in Oulton Broad, leaving 'one elderly male casualty trapped.'
The crews used a winch to free the man, and he was quickly 'released from the car by fire service' by 3.21pm.
